Rainy Day Game Night!

Rainy Day Game Night!

If we’re being honest with ourselves, we’re pretty sure a lot of people take rain for granted. Sure, maybe you can’t go to the beach and go surfing (or could you?), and maybe you can’t have a picnic in the park, but besides putting out wildfires, rain is also really good at encouraging a cozy evening indoors. You can watch a movie or stream a show, or you can embark on a game night! All types of games, like board games, card games, the ‘where’d I put my phone?’ game, and more! We’ve got a few random ideas if you want to spice it up from your normal game mode routine. Bring back the games, I say!

What: Secret Hitler

Why: Anyone here ever play mafia before? Or been to one of those murder mystery dinners? This is a devilishly good rendition of the classic hidden identity party game. This one hit the shelves only a couple years back, is designed for 5-10 people, and is easy to pick-up-and-play while still holding a ton of depth, deceit and replay value. Players are secretly divided into two teams, fascists and liberals, with the goal, yes you guessed it, to stop Hitler.

What: Settlers of Catan

Why: If you have failed to hear of or play this game in your lifetime thus far then you’re welcome. And welcome to a game where you’re sure to make enemies. We’ve seen friendships obliterated, relationships ruined, and fights break out across the table over this game. Oh? Why would you want to play this then? Because everyone makes up afterwards and comes back for more to enact revenge. Each player is a settler, attempting to build and develop land while acquiring resources, like sheep, until there is but one dominant force declared. Good luck, and go for Longest Road!

What: Telestrations

Why: Pictionary meets Telephone. For those of you who hate Pictionary, you’re going to absolutely despise this, which is also why you should play it. The worse the drawings get, the more hilarious the game becomes. Sketch your word, pass to your left, guess the drawing you receive, pass again, and repeat the cycle. Hopefully (or not) your word makes it around with the circle and stays the same till the end. Get the “After Dark” version if you’re not playing with kids.

BONUS ROUND, FIGHT!

What: BANG!

Why: A super fun style of game to mix in with the others mentioned above. It’s a card deck based game with character roles. The Sheriff, Deputy, Outlaws, and Renegade square off in a last man standing affair. Nobody knows who anyone is except everyone knows the Sheriff. With a similar hidden identity mode like Secret Hitler, let the lying, deceit, and showdown begin. If the Sheriff lives, he wins! If he dies, c’est la vie.

Size Chart

Kids (Ages 7+)

Please note, Selk'bag Kids models are intended for children ages 7 years and older.

A proper fit is essential to fully enjoying all the Selk'bag has to offer and for ensuring the safety of your child.  A bag that is too large for your child can represent a tripping risk when your child attempts to walk in the bag.

Please note, that the sizing recommendations are meant for children of average weight as sizing is impacted by user weight.  For example, a Selk'bag will fit a child of below average weight with a taller frame, similar to a child of average weight and a shorter frame. Likewise, a person of above average weight will require a bag meant for someone taller.

Kids Medium:
Minimum Height: 4'0"  / 122 cm
Maximum Height: 4'6" / 137 cm

Kids Large: *
Minimum Height: 4'6"    / 137 cm
Maximum Height: 4'11" / 150 cm

* Please note, Kids size Large is significantly less wide than the Adult size Small.  An adult that measures between 4'6" and 4'11" should use the Adult Small over Kids Large.

A proper fit is essential to fully enjoying all the Selk'bag has to offer.  Please note, that the sizing recommendations are meant for people of average weight and sizing is impacted by user weight.  For example, a Selk'bag will fit a person of below average weight with a taller frame that exceeds the guidelines.  Likewise, a person of above average weight will require a bag meant for someone taller.

In-between sizes?  Please first consider the weight recommendations in the previous paragraph.  Second, please understand that a looser fit is better for more comfortable sleeping, while a tighter fit is better for mobility - but may restrict sleeping comfort if booties are left on.

We always recommend to size up if you are not completely sure. It's better to have a little bit more room while using your Selk'bag!

Please mind that our Original 6G model due to highest loft of insulation (contains more padding insulation that Lite 6G) makes it more snug, so we recommend to size up if you are 1'' to 3'' below the in between size range (i.e if you are getting the Original 6G and you are 5'9'' we recommend getting an XL)
