With lighter-weight materials, brighter colors and more refined sizing and fit than the previous third generation model, the 4G Lite is the sleepwear system for recreational camping, indoor wear, car travel and even tailgating.
The new 4G Lite builds upon the success of Selk’bag’s original mobile and comfortable sleepwear system created by Rodrigo Alonso of Müsuc in Santiago, Chile. Reinforced nylon soles and ripstop and water-resistant fabric make the 4G Lite durable for outdoor use. The 4G Lite’s thermal collar and baffled construction keep the wearer warm at all angles, as well.

Sport Chalet to Begin Selling Third Generation Selk’bag Sleepwear System in March 2010

LAKE ZURICH, IL -- Mountain’s Best Gear today announced today that Sport Chalet, Inc. of La Canada, CA has agreed to sell the Third Generation Selk’bag Sleepwear System, or Selk’bag 3G, in its retail locations.
“We are very proud to have been selected as a vendor for Sport Chalet,” said a representative of Mountain’s Best Gear. “We feel that Sport Chalet is an excellent partner as its customer base and retail assortment are a perfect match for the Selk’bag.”
The deal gives Mountain’s Best Gear their first major multi-store dealer since launching the new Selk’bag 3G by Müsuc in late 2009. The company has successfully launched into several chain stores with less than 15 locations. Sport Chalet will launch the Selk’bag into 20 locations in late March and into potentially 50 by year’s end. The high-end sporting goods dealer will carry both the Selk’bag 3G Kids and Selk’bag 3G Adult models from the outset and add Selk’bag 3G Down later in the year.
The representative added, “We have had a great deal of success selling into the markets where Sport Chalet operates and look forward to establishing a much more meaningful presence in those geographies.”
According to Mountain’s Bet Gear, Sport Chalet will be the first dealer to sell Selk’bag 3G in its new packaging, which is meant to greatly enhance the product from a merchandising perspective and help distinguish the very unique sleepwear system on the store shelf.

Mountain’s Best Gear Signs Deal to Distribute Third Generation Selk’bag Sleepwear System in North America

LAKE ZURICH, IL -- Mountain’s Best Gear today announced it has reached agreement with Müsuc of Santiago, Chile to distribute the Selk’bag Sleepwear System by Müsuc throughout North America. The deal marks the end of Müsuc’s association with Lippi Outdoor of Santiago, Chile and the launch of both its new outdoor division and the all new Selk’bag 3G, the third generation of the popular sleeping bag alternative, or sleepwear system.
“This marks a new era in the evolution of this remarkable and highly innovative product,” said a representative of Mountain’s Best Gear. “We have had tremendous success with our current dealer base and look to continue that success with the new Selk’bag 3G Kids and Selk’bag 3G Down models with existing and new dealers.”
With the deal, Müsuc also announced the formation of its new outdoor division, also based in Santiago, Chile. The move marks the end of Rodrigo Alonso’s three-year relationship with Lippi Outdoor, which follows the dissolution of Lippi USA, the Chilean company’s North American arm. “We are ecstatic to be working with a partner as professional and talented as Rodrigo Alonso and Müsuc, and look forward to expanding our relationship with additional Selk’bag products in the near future,” said the representative.
Selk’bag 3G products are already available in the North American market through MBG.
